Dancing on another one’s body
no man is an island. This dancing duet from the Netherlands challenges our feeling of balance. A dancer sits on a body that lies seemingly dead on the floor. The dancer brings the body into ever new and seemingly impossible positions, turns, tugs, shifts and twists it, climbs and glides around on it. He himself cannot touch the floor. The piece is poetic and intense, it takes your breath away.
The group Arch 8 around dancer Erik Kaiel - here in duet with Joseph Simon - has already travelled the world with his acts and is now fondly looking forward to playing at LA STRADA for the first time this year.
