25 - 28 April 2018 Intervention in Public Space 18 - 22 May 2018 Workshop
"Poetic Invasion of the Cities" is a networking project substituted by the EU which focuses on the professionalization of street art. In cooperation with partners from Romania and Italia, LA STRADA organizes two workshops this spring for said project:
1) Intervention in Public Space
An artistic exchange including a final presentation in public space from 25 to 28 April 2018 at the theaterkontor Bremen. A project for performing artists, singers and musicians. Interdisciplinary forms of working and playing will be experimented with, the focus is on an experimental and playful approach. A composer and a clown will guide the participants and together they will develop the intervention from the content of the workshop.
One part of the final presentation in public space will be "Va Pensiero" (Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves) of Verdi's opera "Nabucco". Participants are welcome to bring their own instruments. A musical education is not necessary, musical interest and curiosity as well as enjoying to play are desirable, though. The workshop will be held in English.
Project management Luca Domenicalihttp://www.microband.it/Domenicali.htmlis an Italian musical clown, multi instrumentalist, author of TV comedy shows and theatrical director. Over 30 years ago, he founded the group Microband together with his partner. The two clowns design and build some of their instruments themselves. Vlaicu Golcea is a Romanian composer. As a crossover artist, he's involved in several types of art. He specializes in composing theatrical and and film music, multimedia installations and performances. He's published over 30 titles and has played numerous concerts all over Europe. In 2009, he won the renowned Romanian award UNITER for theatrical music.

2) Archetypes in Contemporary Theatre
A Physical Theatre Workshop from 18 to 22 May 2018 at the Schaulust in Bremen for professional artists.
In the workshop of the well-known Italian actress Claudia Contin Arlecchino, the archetypes of the Commedia dell'Arte and their interaction with each other will be tried out. Methods from physically accented acting such as body play, character play, humor, rhythm and choreography will be taught and connected to music and singing.
The workshop will be held in English.
Workshop management Claudia Contin Arlecchino is an Italian actress, director, stage designer, figurative artist and author. She works worldwide as an instructor in the field Commedia dell'Arte. Luca Fantinutti works for the company Porto Arlecchino as a musician, photographer and graphic designer.
